Technical University of Berlin, Germany. Graduated as Dipl.Ing Engineer / Architect, Planner. German equivalent of Masters degree.

After completing initial studies in architecture in 1971 Peter worked for several German offices and spent time in South Africa working on diverse projects including apartment buildings, low cost housing, schools, a rugby station and sports club. Peter recommenced his degree studies and qualified as an architect/planner in 1978 with the German equivalent of a Masters Degree. He continued to work in Germany until 1980. From there he moved between Algeria, Saudi Arabia and Germany, on behalf of Speerplan (later Albert Speer & Partners, one of the larger German practices),  returning to Germany in 1988 where he continued to work for the office of Albert Speer & Partners.

In 1990 Peter moved to Berlin, Germany where he established his own office, PMP + Partner. Services included feasibility studies, town planning, modernisation and renovation of heritage buildings, design of family housing, commercial buildings, leisure centres, landscaping, apartment buildings, competitions, planning for leisure centre in Tanzania, planning of Indonesian Embassy in Berlin.

In 1999 Peter and his family moved to Cape Town, South Africa, although Peter maintained a partnership in PMP + Partners until 2002 and continued to travel and spend considerable time in Germany. The practice has undertaken a wide diversity of projects and services include feasibility studies, research, town planning, master planning, design of residential, commercial, retail, medical, educational and industrial buildings, project management, site supervision, project control.  

In 2010 Peter established the project team "Studio 4 Africa", a group of professionals which joins together as required to undertake all aspects of project development, including environmental impact assessments, traffic and transportation planning (including traffic simulation models), architecture and urban planning, civil engineering services, landscape architecture, electrical, fire, mechanical and structural engineering, quantity surveying, project management, interior design and product design. The Studio 4 Africa team members have combined experience of working in Europe, Africa, Asia and the Middle East.

Peter and his family lived in Kigali, Rwanda from 2013 to 2017.  Peter now travels between Kigali and Cape Town.
