Studio 4 is passionate about passing on knowledge and skills obtained over many years practicing architecture.  Peter enjoys mentoring young people and guiding them towards their future careers.

We have taken students from IPRC Construction Programme and KIST Architecture and Quantity Surveying Degree courses, and more recently Uganda and the UK.  We have also hosted 4 architectural students from Germany in 2012 and 2014.  Three of these students had been part of our South African internship programme and chose to intern with us Kigali after our relocation to Rwanda.

We involve our interns in all aspects of practice and allow them space to develop skills on real projects under the supervision of Peter and the other team members.

INTERN TESTIMONIALS

Irvine Toroitich, Brighton University, UK, Architecture

Intern 07 2016 - 09 2016

I would like to take this moment to thank you for the opportunity you gave me to work as an intern for the 2 months during my summer break. It was truly my honor to have worked for such a prestigious company, working on absolutely elegant projects, and was more than happy to help with the progression of them.

During my time with Studio 4, I learned a considerable amount of things that only working in such a practice can be obtained, guided by the brilliant minds in the office, as well as learning the 2 programmes Revit and AutoCAD.

I have started to write my dissertation, as I continue doing further research. I would also like to thank you for your invaluable help with my dissertation. They might come a time later on i might need further assistance with my dissertation, and would therefore humbly request for your assistance again in advance, should I need it later on this year.

Thank you for everything.

Intern 09 2014 - 12 2014

We thoroughly enjoyed our time in Kigali, and the proejcts we worked on.  We have now graduated with our Master's degrees and are looking forward to our first jobs.

We enjoyed being part of your design team and taking part in competitions.  We learned a lot about client liaison, project development, coordination with other disciplines, and definitely improved our drawing and design skills.

We hope we stay in touch and can work together in the future.
